Supermarket and retail cold delivery is a volume problem before it’s a temperature problem — the challenge is moving enough pallets to enough stores on a schedule, without a chilled or frozen product ever sitting warm between the truck and the shelf.
Most retail clients run one of two patterns: a central distribution centre restocking several branches on a fixed weekly schedule, or a single flagship store taking large bulk deliveries directly from suppliers. Either way, the vehicle needs to be sized for pallets, not boxes, and the driver needs to be comfortable working a warehouse dock, not just a street-side drop.
For chains running the same restocking route every week, a monthly contract on a dedicated truck is almost always the better economics than booking day by day.
